The story

Best friends. Co‑founders. Not the same kind of love.

“Sometimes two people genuinely love having each other in their lives. They just don’t love each other in the same way.”The heart of the story

Pranav and Riya meet at a coaching centre before college, over an assignment neither of them wanted. She laughs easily. He remembers the small things.

Within months they are each other’s first message in the morning and last call at night. In college they turn a late-night idea into Udaan, a startup for stressed-out students. Riya brings the vision. Pranav builds almost everything. A startup programme in another city becomes the happiest week of his life.

Then life gets louder. Riya’s world grows to include new friends. Pranav leaves college under family pressure and pours himself into Udaan, hoping that if he keeps building their dream, she will one day see what she means to him.

Forever to Whatever is about friendship, one-sided love, and the slow realisation that love can’t be earned by becoming indispensable.
